Freedom Network records various types of threats and attacks, categorizing them into specific violation types such as murder, legal cases, and digital threats. The data is further segmented by violation category, region, gender, and media type.

Freedom Network aggregates this data through its Safety Hubs Network, a collaborative network of local partners and journalists across Pakistan. This network that has been operating since 2016 ensures accurate, real-time reporting of threats and attacks on media professionals, providing a more localized and comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by journalists in different regions.
